Mariam Keshelashvili is a young political activist in Georgia, where she received a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Georgia. During her studies, she had participated in a number of projects of the European Youth Parliament. At the same time, she completed an internship at the Embassy of the United States in Georgia. After graduation, joined Media Development Fund as a researcher (fact checker), where she collected data about political propaganda methods and techniques used in spreading fake news in the media. As a founding member of the libertarian political party Girchi – More Freedom, she was actively involved in 2021 local government elections and concurrently is enthusiastically engaged in the party’s political and social events. Currently, Mariam is an investigative researcher at the France-based organization, Watchdogs Unleashed. Her area of interest is the domestic politics of post-Soviet countries, regional security, and foreign policy.
